On [DATE], American Public University System combined with Rasmussen University and Hondros College of Nursing to form a single higher education institution. American Public University System (System) now includes American Public University, American Military University, Rasmussen University, and Hondros College of Nursing. The System is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Public Education, Inc. (APEI). We are continuing to update our website to reflect our new structure.

 

Alternative Ceremony Options

We understand that not all of our graduates will be able to attend our annual commencement ceremony, but that does not mean you should not celebrate you accomplishment!

Your Own Celebration: Private Ceremony

If you are unable to attend our annual in person ceremony, you may plan your own private ceremony. In a private ceremony, you can choose who you would like to conduct the ceremony, such as a commander, supervisor, mentor, etc. 

Upon request, we will provide you with the following: a ceremonial diploma, an optional script and an alumni welcome letter to make your private ceremony special. To request a private ceremony kit, please complete this online form.
