On [DATE], American Public University System combined with Rasmussen University and Hondros College of Nursing to form a single higher education institution. American Public University System (System) now includes American Public University, American Military University, Rasmussen University, and Hondros College of Nursing. The System is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Public Education, Inc. (APEI). We are continuing to update our website to reflect our new structure.

Department of Defense Training Funds

If a student serves in the military or the Federal Civil Service, they should contact their Education Services Officer (ESO) or Civilian Training Representative to find out if they are eligible for training funds before registering for classes. These funds are not administered by DANTES and are typically reserved for courses that apply directly to a student's job. If eligible, a student may pay tuition with command or agency training funds by submitting a DD-1556 (or other applicable form).
